Big Brother to Add Saturday Night Show?

Big Brother may air a Saturday Night edition of the show, if rumours are to be believed.

TV Tonight is today reporting that Mike Goldman is to host a Big Brother-related show for the first four weeks of the season. Details of the show are currently unknown however producers have previously teased that fans of the former TEN spin-off Friday Night Live will be excited about plans for the upcoming tenth season of the show.

Friday Night Live featured on Big Brother from 2005 to the show’s initial axing on TEN in 2008. Mike Goldman hosted that edition too with Big Brother 2004 housemates Ryan Fitzgerald and Bree Amer. Fans were left disappointed when a similar show was not announced for the Nine revival. Due to the network’s rugby commitments, it is unable to air such a show on Friday nights.

It will be the first time Big Brother has aired a Saturday night show since Big Brother Saturdays aired throughout the first season in 2001.

Furthermore, Goldman is expected to narrate another spin-off show to air on Thursday nights. It is unclear whether this is a new spin-off show or the return of 2012 accompaniment Big Brother: Confidential.

Big Brother Australia returns for a 2-hour launch show at 7PM Monday 29 July on Nine.
