The Davis Cup is coming to Seven next week.

Livewire Nick Kyrgios will lead the Aussie Davis Cup charge against Germany from Pat Rafter Arena in Brisbane alongside rising star Alex De Minaur, Jordan Thompson, John Millman and John Peers.

The Australian team, headed by captain Lleyton Hewitt, has been delivering strong Davis Cup results in recent times, reaching the semi-finals in two of the last three years in the World Group.

The German squad is likely to include Alexander and Mischa Zverev, Philipp Kohlschreiber, Jan-Lennard Struff and Peter Gojowczyk, setting up a highly anticipated singles clash between Kyrgios and world no.4 Zverev.

It’s the first meeting between the two nations since 2012, when German won a World Group playoff tie 3-2 in Hamburg. While in head-to-head meetings throughout Davis Cup history Australia leads 4-3, while in 1993 it was the Germans who triumphed in the final.

Todd Woodbridge will host Seven’s coverage.
