Today Binge unveils its next Australian original reality series with Apocalpyse.
It’s a simple question: how would you react in the apocalypse?
In this bold new reality series, a group of strangers are thrust into the ruins of a world without power, running water, food or rules. Their mission is simple: survive for 28 days in the ruins of an abandoned city, the size of Sydney’s CBD.
These are everyday people from all walks of life, who are not survival experts nor particularly skilled. Every decision carries consequences and every resource is worth fighting for.
When we begin, seven strangers are dropped into their new civilisation. Content creator Steven, psychologist Kiera, theatre director Bertie, and cattle farmer Scott take up most of the screentime in the opening hour. But unbeknownst to them, there’s another group of seven survivors in the west, most notably among them Paralympian Kelly, ex-soldier Matthew, and farmer Ioan.
Naturally, there’s disagreements. Food is a touchy subject, and they also clash over boundaries around a torch.
The double episode premiere covers the first four days for both groups. It’s a fast-paced watch with the perfect mix of a variety of people.
Narrated by Jonathan La Pagila, who keeps things clear and concise, will all fourteen manage to survive?
