An embarrassing medical emergency for the RFDS team

Tonight the RFDS team find themselves with an awkwardly intimate case…

When we left our favourite flying doctors, it was revealed that the bus driver from the highway crash had been charged after returning a positive drug test. It’s not the news Eliza (Emma Hamilton) was hoping for after already receiving backlash from locals for saving the bus driver, Joe (Luke Furlan), and leaving a young man to die on the ground.

Tonight we find Pete (Stephen Peacocke) and Eliza still at odds over her decisions during the bus crash, and the friction between them only intensifies as they embark on their first shift together since Pete’s return. They’re off tending to conservative local councillor Arthur (Stevie Rodgers) who finds himself in a bit of an awkward and embarrassing pickle that would make for an unforgettable headline.

Meanwhile it’s Mira’s (Ash Ricardo) first day back on the job after regaining her wings after maternity leave, and it’s a bit of a shaky start as she takes Chaya (Emma Harvey) and Taylor (Sofia Nolan) to visit bus crash victim Poppy (Luca Sardelis) and Anna (Elena Carapetis), where things aren’t a great as they appear.

Elsewhere Wayne (Rob Collins) is in dad mode with daughter Kalthi (Amaela Rigney and Layla Bartlett), but he struggles to turn his professional switch off when he senses an old friend, Remote Area Nurser Naomi (Laila Thaker) needs help.

Magda Wozniak gets to deliver a slighter lighter episode after two dramatic instalments; with everything we’ve come to love about these characters shining through.

RFDS airs 7:30pm Wednesday on Seven.
