Last night, Neighbours dropped a surprise return for longtime fans.
I am, of course, referring to Amy Greenwood (Jacinta Stapleton) who has once again returned to Erinsborough, this time to manage the new Flamingo Bar. Roxy (Zima Anderson), who had also been vying for the job, is furious to have been beaten for the role, demanding Terese (Rebekah Elmaloglou) for answers, who reveals that Amy’s application was superior. Will these two find a way to work together?
Meanwhile, Amy catches up with Toadie (Ryan Maloney), who introduces her to Melanie (Lucinda Cowan) and attempts to get the details on what she’s been up to since leaving Erinsborough back in mid-February. Is Amy hiding something about her time in Queensland?
One thing’s certain – the return of Amy Greenwood to the regular cast is just the spark Neighbours needs, and writer Stephen Vagg delivers a perfect episode full of Neighbours charm.
It’ll be interesting to see how Amy settles into permanent Erinsborough life and what the writers have in store for the iconic character. Welcome back to the hood Amy Greenwood!
