American Idol is back and packed with star power and music royalty next month.
Award-winning host and producer Ryan Seacrest returns as host of the iconic series along with superstar judges, including international popstar Katy Perry, country music sensation Luke Bryan and music industry legend Lionel Richie. Each week these superstar judges will help determine who America will ultimately vote for to become the next American Idol. This season American multimedia personality Bobby Bones will take on the role of in-house mentor, guiding the singing hopefuls in the journey to make their dreams come true.
The long-running, popular series has revolutionised the television landscape by pioneering the music competition genre and creating some of the biggest names in the music industry. Past winners of the series including multiple Grammy Award winnersKelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood as well as Grammy nominated starlet Jordin Sparks. Finalists have also gone on to achieve worldwide success, including pop sensation Adam Lambert and most notably Jennifer Hudson, who won an Academy Award, Golden Globe and Grammy Award since competing on the series.
