Amazon unveils Celia Pacquola: All Talk this week as part of its comedy specials series.
Now, I’m going to be blunt, honest and truthful: I didn’t expect to be writing separate reviews for the Amazon comedy specials today But there’s a reason why it changed last minute and it was all down to this installment.
All Talk saw Pacquola drop her guard and craft a show that was so deeply personal and moving that it would be irresponsible to not gush about it here. The show talks about, at its core, 2017, which saw Pacquola in a good space professionally, however, behind the shining lights, she was dealing with some pretty serious mental health issues like anxiety and depression.
We learn about these personal issues as the special unfolds, and Pacquola chooses to poke fun at herself, which leads us to sex tapes and the #MeToo movement.
Pacquola is so watchable, even when talking about such tough topics. It’s all delivered with care.
Celia Pacuola: All Talk is relatable and funny and the best hour of the series so far.
