They won The Block in 2013 and now Australia’s favourite renovation twins, Alisa and Lysandra, are back with their own show next week.
The twins will change the life of a deserving Aussie family forever when the twins do a completehouse makeover for the Fletcher-Rees family.
The family, Lauren, Tom and Freddie, has been doing it tough and when Lauren’s parents, Trevor and Anne, approached the twins they knew they needed to help.
Freddie, 4, has a rare congenital condition affecting his digestive system which requires lifelong medical care, and the family home is failing to keep up. The parents, Lauren and Tom, have given up fulltime work and Trevor and Anne have delayed retirement to give Freddie the care and support he needs.
Alisa and Lysandra promise to leave no stone unturned for the Fletcher-Rees family. They’ll renovate the kitchen, dining and living room, two bedrooms and two bathrooms, add a new extension and transform the back garden in their biggest makeover challenge ever.
“This is your everyday Aussie family who are dealing with some heartbreaking challenges and we knew we needed to help,” Alisa, one half of the renovating duo, said today.“Lysandra and I are mothers, we know the ups and downs of being parents, and this family needs a break.
“The community spirit and love shown towards them is inspiring and we know that all of Australia will fall in love with brave little Freddie.”
