The record books are primed to be rewritten on the final day of the 2021 US Open as Novak Djokovic and Australia’s Dylan Alcott chase history at Flushing Meadows, with all the action live on ESPN and ESPN2.

Both Djokovic and Alcott have the chance to write their names into the tennis history books forever, achieving phenomenal feats rarely seen on the court.

World number one Novak Djokovic will look to continue his dominance of men’s tennis in 2021 by clinching a ‘Grand Slam’ and adding the US Open title to the Australian Open, French Open and Wimbledon triumphs already this year.

The US Open Men’s Singles Final will be live on ESPN at 6am AEST, where standing in the way of Djokovic will be number two seed Daniil Medvedev.

Medvedev breezed into the US Open final courtesy of a straight sets win over Felix Auger Aliassime in the Semi Final, whilst Djokovic had to fight for a five-set win over fourth seed Alexander Zverev.

Djokovic’s ‘Grand Slam’ is not the only shot at history at the US Open.

Australia’s Dylan Alcott can become the first man ever to claim the ‘Golden Slam’.

Tennis legend Steffi Graf is the only tennis player to claim the five major titles available in an Olympic/Paralympic year, achieving the triumph in 1988.

Alcott has already claimed the Australian Open, French Open, Wimbledon and Paralympic Gold this year, and a US Open victory would complete the rare feat.

Alcott’s showdown with Niels Vink in the Men’s Wheelchair Quad Final will be live from approx. 3am AEST on ESPN2

Sam Stosur will be another Australian chasing glory on the final day at Flushing Meadows, as the Aussie joins partner Zhang Shuai in the Women’s Doubles Final at 3am AEST, live on ESPN.

The pair will tackle home favourites and 11th seed Americans Caty McNally and Coco Gauff.

The US Open has already displayed some amazing performances in the 2021 edition.

Sunday saw Britain’s 18-year-old Emma Raducanu become the first qualifier to ever win a major title, after she claimed the Women’s US Open singles championship.
