After spending 20 days in the Aussie jungle, Abbie Chatfield has taken out the I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! crown for 2021.
In a season set on home soil where everyday tasks whittled the celebrity numbers down before the Hell Holes of Destiny sealed their massive ejection fate, the public have spoken and crowned the ever-impressive, outspoken, and courageous Abbie, Queen of the Aussie jungle.
Not one to shy away from speaking her mind, Abbie stayed true to herself during her camp stay. But where Abbie goes, different opinions, hearty debates and of course, romance follow.
Who could forget Abbie challenging Dipper over his, “you’re not going out like that” quip? Tears were shed and the generation gap seemed to widen, but in true camp fashion, the misunderstandings were resolved which ended in Abbie teaching Dipper the only moves he will ever need to know – the WAP dance.
Prolific on social media, Abbie, alongside camp bestie Jack Vidgen, revealed horrific things people have said to them on social media from behind the safety of their keyboard.
And what about her cuddle buddy? Pillow Pete really did bring the goods into camp and upped Colin Fassnidge’s cooking game with a few extra flavours for the camp pot. But even his contraband giving wasn’t enough to keep her from the arms of Ash Williams.
From cuddles with ‘mum’ Toni Pearen, break up snogs and surviving a snake latching onto her hand, Abbie Chatfield conquered the jungle and our hearts.
On winning $100,000 for her chosen charity, Dementia Australia, Abbie said: “I can’t believe it, me doing this, everything was for Grandma. I’m so so happy and really grateful I could do it for her.”
