AACTAS Week on Foxtel Masterpiece Movies

Foxtel Movies will showcase the best of the AACTAS in the lead up to the 2018 AACTA Awards presented by Foxtel, with a week of the best Australian nominated and winning movie titles featuring talented Aussies.


All titles are available to stream On Demand via FoxFlicks, Foxtel Go and Foxtel Now. AACTAS Week on Foxtel’s Masterpiece Movies channel starts from 8.30pm on Saturday 1 December with The Sapphires featuring Jessica Mauboy, Miranda Tapsall, Deborah Mailman and Chris O’Dowd, followed by Red Dog with Rachael Taylor, Josh Lucas and Noah Taylor.  

Some of Australia’s biggest AACTA sensations will screen nightly for seven days including Muriel’s  Wedding (Toni Collette, Rachel Griffiths), Animal Kingdom (Joel Edgerton, Guy Pearce, Ben

Mendelsohn, Jackie Weaver), Rabbit-Proof Fence, The Great Gatsby (Joel Edgerton, Baz Luhrmann). 

Finishing up AACTAS week on Foxtel’s Movies Masterpiece on Friday December 7 at 8.30pm is the epic Hacksaw Ridge (Mel Gibson, Teresa Palmer) and Mad Max (George Miller, Mel Gibson).

The 2018 AACTA Awards mark the 60th Anniversary of AFI I AACTA, giving the Australian Academy and the screen industry the opportunity to celebrate its incredible history, talented practitioners and world-class productions.
