People power may have saved Australian drama A Place To Call Home.
The Channel Seven drama which stars Marta Dusseldorp has reportedly been picked up by Foxtel. After Seven cancelled the drama ans organised protests and online petitions, hoping to change Seven’s decision to no such luck
Foxtel are declining to comment on the move saying Foxtel is making no announcements on programming for 2015 until our Upfront [presentation event] on October 30.
if Indeed it is true it would mark the first time ever that Foxtel has picked up an original free-to-air Australian drama to be screened on Foxtel.
Under the Foxtel deal, creator Bevan Lee would write a third series, produced by Seven Productions but aired on Foxtel with the show’s original cast involved.
