A double elimination rocks Dancing With The Stars

Tonight on Dancing With The Stars, all 10 couples came together to dance through the decades in a special ‘step back in time’ episode. With a double elimination on the cards

After a sensational group performance to Kylie Minogue’s Step Back in Time, the couples faced off for a place in the Semi Final.

Ant Middleton donned a mullet and performed a Jive to Wham’s 80s hit Wake Me Up Before You Go Go. Receiving a score of 27, Helen Richey was impressed by Ant’s musicality and improvement each week.

Foxtrotting to Frank Sinatra’s I’ve Got You Under My Skin, Home and Away star James Stewart enthralled Craig Revel Horwood, who likened his performance to La La Land. James received a total of 34.

Channelling her inner Lady Gaga, Nikki Osborne received a standing ovation for her Rumba to Shallow, earning a score of 35.

In her disco era, Nova Peris served up Cha Cha, although Helen critiqued that she was staying within her capabilities. Nova scored 19 points.

Ben Cousins embodied Bon Jovi, receiving 21 points for his Viennese Waltz to Bed of Roses. Mark Wilson commended his resilience and enormous change from his first dance.

Julie Goodwin returned to the floor with an impressive Foxtrot, scoring 27 points. The judges called her “a sexy vixen,” “a sassy minx,” and even a “dominatrix” after her steamy performance.

Better Homes and Gardens’ Adam Dovile transformed into a matador in his Paso Doble to The Foo Fighter’s Best of You. Earning 32 points, Adam was over the moon when Sharna Burgess exclaimed she “freaking loved it!”

Lisa McCune had plenty of rhythm in her 40s Quickstep, scoring 39 points.

Jumping forward to the 90s, Shane Crawford was Livin’ La Vida Loca in his Samba. Helen declared Shane a threat in the competition, before he received a score of 29.

Samantha Jade delivered a very respectable Cha Cha, earning 39 points and landing equal first with Lisa.

With no dance-off, it was Nova Peris and Julie Goodwin who ended up on the bottom of the leaderboard and were sent home.
