This week the RFDS team are faced with some tough challenges that puts their lives on the line.
Off in one direction is Eliza (Emma Hamilton) and Matty (Jack Scott), who attend to grazier Brian, who has head injuries after falling from his horse. Eliza tries to uncover the reason for the fall, but her job is made even more difficult when the patient’s daughter questions her decision-making. It’s the last thing she needs after her recent decision on which patients to fly, leaving one to die in the field.
Elsewhere, Pete (Stephen Peacocke) has returned to Broken Hill with a pregnant Taylor (Sofia Nolan), now minus one kidney, and he’s desperate to know how best to support her going forward. Pete and Wayne (Rob Collins) soon find themselves attending a patient with painful complications following surgery, and the pair struggle to separate their personal issues from the work at hand.
But their personal drama is the least of their problems when unexpected turbulence knocks Graham (Rodney Afif) unconscious, leaving an airborne plane without a pilot. Is anyone going to be able to land the plane safely?
After an intense opening episode, this season of RFDS is set to be drama-filled, action-packed, and not-to-be-missed on Wednesday nights.
RFDS airs 7:30pm Wednesday on Seven.
