60 Minutes celebrates 40 years

For 40 years, 60 Minutes has set the benchmark for current affairs journalism in Australia, with some of the most fascinating stories and incredible characters ever seen on the small screen and this weekend Nine celebates that achievement.

Following its induction into the Logies Hall of Fame earlier this year, the 60 Minutes 40th Year Special will see star reporters from past and present such as Jana WendtLiz HayesRay MartinTara Brown, George Negus and Charles Wooley recount the amazing tale behind Nine’s long-running flagship program.

Along the way they will reveal some of their most memorable moments – for better or for worse – with no topic off limits, and share the stories that have stuck with them over the decades.

It didn’t take long for 60 Minutes to quickly grow into a household name synonymous with quality journalism, giving Australians hard-hitting, honest stories that continue to matter 40 years on.

7pm Sunday December 2 on Nine.
