For nearly two weeks, Australia has watched intently as the aftermath of the failed child abduction plays out in the media. With Australian mother Sally Faulkner and four members of the 60 Minutes crew behind bars, their fate rested in the hands of the Lebanese judicial system and Elamine, Sally’s estranged husband.
It was announced this morning that Elamine dropped all charges, resulting in Faulkner and the 60 Minutes crew being released from prison and sent home to Australia. The rumour mill has been swirling ever since.
