It has been a long time coming the Logies will finally air live.
The glitz and glamour begins with the red carpet show at 7.00pm as Shelley Craft and Jules Lund welcome a bevy of stars, aincluding exciting international guests, as they make their grand entrance to Melbourne’s Crown Entertainment Complex.
Then LIVE at 7.30pm the awards ceremony begins with a jam-packed show that will be bigger and better than ever, celebrating the very best programs on television in 2014.
Nine’s Director of Television, Michael Healy said: “The Logies is the biggest awards ceremony broadcast on Australian television and putting the show to air live adds an exciting new element to TV’s night of nights.”
Editor of TV Week Emma Nolan said: “We’re thrilled about this news! Going live takes the TV WEEK Logie Awards to a completely new and exciting level. Viewers can see the action as it really happens and interact with the stars on social media via #tvweeklogies!”
The move will combat spoilers and hopefully will see the broadcast finish earlier then 11:30 PM.
