Seven launches  Local News in  Toowoomba

From today,Seven will launch a local news service in Toowoomba.

Seven Local News will be first with the local news in the Toowoomba and surrounding regions

As the most watched news service in regional Queensland, Seven Local News is presented by Rob Brough and Jo Desmond. Nathan Spurling will host Sport, with the Weather presented by Livio Regano, a fully qualified Weather Bureau meteorologist.

With a dedicated news crew, Seven Local News will cover the stories that matter most to Toowoomba and the surrounding region.

Seven Queensland General Manager, Ben Roberts-Smith VC MG, says the team has received a tremendous response from the local community. “The people in our Darling Downs community deserve a choice in local news and we’re about to deliver that,” he said.

“It has been part of our long-term strategic plan to complement our existing Local News services across our six other regions. No one is more thrilled than us that we can finally say the day has come.
