Dancing With the Stars is in need of a new host with the news Daniel MacPherson has quit the reality show.
The 35 year old actor who has hosted the series since 2008 confirmed the news to TV Week.
I’ve done my seven series, and I’ve loved it, but it’s time now to focus on my acting,” McPherson has a starring role in the sci-fi thriller, Infini. The low-budget Aussie-made movie is being released digitally on May 8 and will be getting a cinemas release in the US. He also has a lead role MTV fantasy series, The Shannara Chronicles, which is currently shooting in New Zealand.
“Because of the success of movie and the way things are going career-wise, that’s why I’ve chosen to step away from Dancing,” Daniel says. “I’ve worked hard to reinvigorate my acting career and I’m focused on that 100 per cent. Eddie (Edwina Bartholomew) will have to find a new co-host”
