Biggest Loser finalists announced

The Jofre family  wanted a finale with all four family members  but a curveball was coming. In the penultimate episode of TBL Families, the contestants were hit  with a double elimination.

With five contestants competing for just three spots at Finale, tonight’s final weigh-in was the most crucial one yet. And when Tenealle lost the lowest percentage of weight, she was automatically eliminated.

Tenealle said: “I would have loved to have gotten to Finale, but I’ve come this far and that’s an achievement.

“My whole life has changed. I’m stronger, I’m focused and I know what I need to do to change my future. I’m going to get home and make babies. It’s only positive things to look forward to.”

But the most difficult elimination was still to come. When Rob and Pablo found themselves below the yellow line, Tony and Daniel were faced with the devastating task of sending either their brother or uncle home.

Uncle Rob pleaded for his nephews to keep their brother Pablo safe: “It’s not about me tonight, it’s about the boys. I’ve run my race and I’ve won. It would be a big honour for me to see one of my three nephews standing up on that stage as The Biggest Loser.” Respecting their uncle’s wishes, Tony and Daniel made the tough decision to send Rob home.

Rob said: “Aside from the birth of [daughter] Amelia, this experience has been the biggest, most exciting event of my life. I’ve come a long way. I’ve transformed my body and my mind and I believe in myself.

“It just goes to show, if you put your mind to it and work hard, miracles happen. For me this is a miracle. I’ve gotten my life back. I’m so happy.”

During his time on TBL Families, Rob went from 158.6 kilograms to 108 kilograms, losing a total of 50.5 kilograms or 31.9% of his body weight., Tenealle went from 134 kilograms to 102.9 kilograms, losing a total of 31.1 kilograms or 23.2% of her body weight.
