Stan announced today that a few familiar faces will return to the Power universe to star in the brand new series Power Book II: Ghost.
Reprising their roles will be Michael Rainey, Jr. as “Tariq St. Patrick,” Shane Johnson as “Cooper Saxe” and Naturi Naughton as “Tasha St. Patrick.”
Following the eventful series finale of the two-time NAACP Image Award-winning drama, Stan also released today an explosive first look tease for the new series. Power Book II: Ghost will pick up just days after the Power finale, with Tariq navigating his new life in college, where his desire to shed his father’s legacy comes up against the mounting pressure to save his family.
Additional returning cast from Power includes Tariq’s dorm-mate “Brayden” played by Gianni Paolo (Ma, The Fosters), and NYC’s favourite defense attorney “Tameika Washington” played by Quincy Tyler Bernstine (Ray Donovan, Modern Love).
New to the cast is Daniel Bellomy (The Real MVP: The Wanda Durrant Story) as “Ezekiel ‘Zeke’ Cross,” Paige Hurd (The Oval, Hawaii Five-O) as “Lauren,” Melanie Liburd (This is Us, Gypsy) as “Carrie Milgram,” Justin Marcel McManus (Star) as “Jabari Reynolds,” Woody McClain (The Bobby Brown Story, The New Edition Story) as “Cane Tejada,” Lovell Adams-Gray (Coroner, Slasher) as “Dru Tejada,” and LaToya Tonedeo (The Oath) as “Diana Tejada.”
The above cast join the previously announced Mary J. Blige and Cliff “Method Man” Smith in the first new series in the Power universe.
Power Book II: Ghost is coming soon in 2020 – only on Stan.
