Kym Valentime settles Neighbours Court Case

Kym Valentime has settled her court case with the producers of Neighbours it has been revealed.

Valentime who played Libby Kennedy on the soap for 15 years launched her suit in July claiming she was subjected to sex and disability discrimination while working on the show. As part of the action, Valentine demanded producers rehire her for the role of Libby Kennedy, which she played for 15 years, before her contract with the show ended in 2011. Valentine alleged FremantleMedia Australia failed to provide a safe working environment and was seeking compensation for “pain, hurt, suffering and humiliation” and lost wage. The settlement reached is confidential and there is no word on if she will reprise her role on the soap.

She will next be seen on screen in the 2014 mini-series Fat Tony and Co.
