After an outcry, Animal Planet has moved the air date for Bindi Irwin & Chandler Powell’s wedding to May.
We’re upping the ante on the celebrations by dedicating May to Irwin Month on Animal Planet with two hours of programming from the wildlife warriors every night from 6.30pm, starting Sunday 3 May.
Irwin Month honours the enduring legacy of Steve Irwin and Terri, Bindi and Robert’s conversation mission. Animal Planet will take viewers on an adventure each night starting where it all began with episodes of The Crocodile Hunter and The Crocodile Hunter Diaries, which first brought Steve’s passion and the wonders of wildlife into homes around the world. The line-up will also include Seasons 1 and 2 of the global hit series, Crikey! It’s The Irwins along with other specials such as My Daddy the Crocodile Hunter, In Steve’s Footsteps and more.
Irwin Month will follow Bindi’s journey from a child to the inspirational woman she is today, celebrate Chandler’s heartwarming proposal at Australia Zoo and culminate in their big day in Crikey! It’s The Irwins: Bindi’s Wedding.
Crikey! It’s the Irwins: Bindi’s Wedding features touching, behind the scenes moments with Bindi and Chandler and the Irwin family leading up to the wedding day, including Bindi’s wedding dress fitting. Additionally, the hour will include many of the special moments of the wedding day: Robert walking Bindi down the aisle, Bindi lighting a candle to honour her father, Steve Irwin, during the ceremony, and special appearances by koalas, macaws and snakes.
