Wimbledon To Air on 7

Channel 7 has released details for its annual tennis coverage of Wimbledon.

.
Beginning on Monday June 24, Seven’s broadcast will be hosted by Todd Woodbridge with expert commentary from three-time Wimbledon champion John Newcombe, along with Rennae Stubbs, Sam Smith and Geoff Masters.

In addition, there will be commentary from a string of the biggest names in tennis via the host broadcaster BBC, among them John McEnroe, Pat Cash, Boris Becker, Tracey Austin, Lindsay Davenport and Martina Navratilova.

During the first week the live broadcast kicks off at 8.30pm (AEST) on 7TWO before switching to Channel 7 from around 11.30pm. From Day 9 to Day 11 the coverage begins at 10pm on 7TWO.

All singles and doubles finals, as well as the singles’ semi-finals, will also be exclusively live on Channel 7, while starting on 7TWO in some states.

Wimbledon 2013 marks a return to the All England Club for the third time for the Seven Network. Seven brings a wealth of experience and expertise in covering the game of tennis, following another successful coverage as host broadcaster of The Australian Open.

Seven’s Head of Sport, Saul Shtein, commented: “Once again tennis fans will see the best two matches live each day on 7TWO or Channel 7 completely free, along with plenty of other top matches. And we’ll also keep viewers up to date with all the results and happenings around the courts.”

On Sunday June 23 in the lead-up to the tournament Seven will also be airing:
