Tyler returns to Ramsay Street

Tyler returns to Ramsay Street

Its been a big few weeks for our favorite Neighbours following the recent revelations in the Hamish murder case, but tonight Tyler comes home.

Hamish (Sean Taylor) was believed to have been murdered by Tyler last November when Tyler confronted his father about his lies that ended with Tyler hitting him on the head with a garden gnome, landing him in prison for ten years. However, this year it was revealed that Hamish was drowned by his other son Cassius (Joe Davidson) after Tyler’s confrontation- but as usual, things got even more complicated because both brothers fell in love with the same girl, Piper (Mavournee Hazel). With Cassius in prison, Toadie (Ryan Maloney) requested that Tyler gets transferred back to Erinsborough for his hearing to be released. the hearing saw Tyler become a free man last night.

Initially denying to see Piper before the hearing, Tyler finally agrees to see her and the pair discuss everything they’ve been through over the last eight months and wonder what the journey means for their future. Will they rekindle their romance and be together again, or is one of the shows most popular couples headed for further heartbreak?

More importantly, though Tyler gets to see his family again- including the first on-screen scenes between him and Chloe (April Rose Pengilly)- and those scenes are a true highlight of an already noteworthy episode.

It’s so great to have Tyler back again. No matter whether you support Typer or not, Burns and Hazel have an undeniable chemistry that continues to burn even through so much heartache- and it’s that chemistry that makes everything work in this arc, both giving outstanding performances as they finally get the closure they- and Typer fans- were longing for since February.

Neighbours airs 6:30 pm weeknights on Eleven
