Trent Maxwell named Cleo Bachelor of the year 2013

Fan favourite and one of the stars of Network Ten’s Bondi Rescue, Trent “Maxi” Maxwell, has won the coveted title of Cleo Bachelor of the Year 2013.

Maxi’s laid back charm and Aussie-surfer good looks made him the standout favourite from the 49 other Cleo Bachelor of the Year contenders, walking away with a $10,000 cash prize.

Maxi has grown up on Australia’s television screens, having started at Bondi as a trainee lifeguard at the age of 15. Over the past seven years, Maxi has taken audiences through the highs and lows of patrolling Australia’s most famous beach on the multi-award winning Bondi Rescue.

In the 26th year of the Cleo Bachelor of the Year event, Maxi took home the title at a star-studded event at The Beresford Hotel, Sydney, this evening.

Last year, MasterChef Australia favourite Hayden Quinn took out the title, making Maxi’s win a back-to-back success for Network Ten talent.

On news of his win, Maxi said: “I can’t believe it. I am surprised and stoked. Thank you to everyone who voted, it really wasn’t expected but it’s great to be crowned Cleo Bachelor Of the Year.”
