This week on The Project Feb 18 – 22

It’s a jam-packed week on The Project with some great guests and inspiring stories.

On Monday night, legendary Aussie actor Jack Thompson joins us at the desk to talk about his latest film Blinder, which explores Australia’s love affair with the greatest sport in the world, AFL. Jack reprises his role as a football coach some three decades after his acclaimed film, The Club.

In support of the Donate Life Campaign, The Project will take a special look at Organ Donation in Australia and inspire people to register to donate. One donor can transform the lives of up to 10 people and significantly improve the lives of many more. During the week, we will meet loved ones of those who have given, as well as recipients of the gift of life.

Local funny girl and rising Hollywood star, Rebel Wilson, drops by for a chat ahead of her guest appearance on Can of Worms.

“I’m really excited to come back to Australia and appear on TEN,” Rebel said. “I’m not sure which tracksuit to pack…now that I live in Hollywood I get a lot of free tracksuits. It takes the phrase ‘freeloading bogan’ to a completely new level.”

Charlie Pickering returns from his honeymoon on Tuesday night and Rebel Wilson is back as our special guest co-host. In a special report, Natasha Exelby travels to Bundaberg to see how the weary locals are rebuilding their lives after the devastating floods.

On Wednesday, Todd Sampson is our guest co-host and Shaun Micallef is at the desk to talk about his new TEN series, Mr & Mrs Murder.

Gorgi Coghlan joins us at the desk on Thursday night and we’ll cross to our US entertainment reporter, Hyla, who caught up with Catherine Zeta-Jones, Jude Law and Channing Tatum to talk about their new film, Side Effects.

We end the week on Friday with Olympic swimmer Michael Klim, chatting about the importance of encouraging our kids to get in the pool. HG Nelson will wrap up the week in sport and the Metro whippers will let us know what’s going on around the country this weekend.

For all this and more, join Carrie Bickmore, Charlie Pickering and Dave Hughes on The Project, weeknights at 6.30pm on TEN.
