This week Cyndi Lauper, Priscilla Presley, Hugo Weaving and  Bill Bailey all appear on The Project.

After wowing audiences around the world, it is Australia’s turn to discover the hilarious and heart-warming musical,Kinky Boots. Celebrating love, friendship and the power of believing in yourself, Kinky Boots tells the story of a young man’s struggle to save the family shoe business and the unexpected people he meets along the way. Music royalty Cyndi Lauper has penned the songs for this award-winning musical. We will catch up with Cyndi when she joins us in the studio to talk about this spectacular show.

She married the King of Rock ‘n Roll and in the years since, Priscilla Presley has kept the legacy of Elvis Presley’s music alive. With the release of a new album featuring Elvis and an Australian tour combining the King’s remastered vocals with live orchestral arrangements coming next year, Priscilla speaks one on one with Carrie Bickmore about her extraordinary life.

One of Australia’s most loved and respected actors Hugo Weaving has had a remarkable career. We catch up with him to talk about his latest film, Hacksaw Ridge, the extraordinary true story of an American war medic who saved 75 men during World War II without firing or carrying a weapon.

We catch up with comedian, musician and actor Bill Bailey. It is 20 years since Bill first performed on our shores and to mark this milestone Bill has a new show, Larks in Transit, a compendium of travellers’ tales and the general shenanigans of two decades as a travelling comedian. He joins us in the studio to tell us all about it.
