When renovating a family home, it’s important to consider how all your family use the space including any four-legged family members as well.  This week Barry takes on a living/dining room renovation with a twist – this space has to work not just for the loving couple and their new baby, but also for their beloved cat, Dora.

TRAVEL WITH CHRIS BROWN: Underground Sydney

Miguel is trying to convince Chris to take part in El Colacho, a Spanish Festival where adults, dressed as devils jump over babies. To avoid this obligation Chris heads underground, into the dark depths of Sydney’s abandoned tunnel systems.  Trains stations, water ways, bomb shelters, strange root systems and a long walk to a mysterious underground lake leave him wondering whether Miguel’s Devil Jump may have been a wiser move.

 

FOOD WITH MIGUEL MAESTRE: Da Poke Shack Hawaii

Miguel has travelled all the way to Hawaii to eat at the restaurant voted number one in the US on yelp.com. When he arrives at a small shack, he is slightly underwhelmed, until he tries the incredible island delicacy they serve up fresh daily – da poke!
