The Living Room March 22

The Living Room March 22

Here is what The Living Room has in store this week.

FOOD: CROODS DINNER PARTY

To celebrate the release of DreamWorks’ new animated feature The Croods, The Living Room has challenged our own food master Miguel Maestre and dapper designer, James Treble, to turn one lucky family’s home into a fantastical setting for a prehistoric feast.

Miguel whips up a menu fit for a family of cave men, including BBQ’d Tomohawk steaks and a dessert served inside an emu egg.

WHOSE HOUSE: PETER GARRETT

Amanda Keller meets musician, environmentalist, activist and politician, Peter Garret.

They take a tour through his Sydney home, and Amanda learns how this MP spends his time away from the House of Representatives.

Plus, she puts his memory to the test with an ingenious game. Can Peter decipher his own lyrics from legislation?

HOME: RENO RESCUE – COMPTETION WINNER KITCHEN MELBOURNE

Chris Hall was the lucky lady who won The Living Room’s Once in a Lifetime Competition last year. She walked away with $180,000 of prizes including a kitchen from Bunnings and $40,000 of appliances. Baz reckons the best thing she won was the prize of having him as her personal kitchen designer. Trouble is, Chris has already been to Bunnings and as a turn up for the books, she’s come up with her own scheme and is presenting it to Baz. Will Baz come around to her red and white scheme?

PET SEGMENT

Chris is joined by Anna the cat, whose owner is confused by her dog-like habits, and a German Shepherd called Jillian, who has lost her guard dog instincts. Plus we meet Coco the super smart miniature pig with a trick or two of her own.
