Seven has announced The Good Doctor will begin next week.
The Good Doctor stars Freddie Highmore stars as Shaun Murphy a gifted young surgeon with autism and savant syndrome. The series will screen two episodes next week.
Shaun relocates from a quiet country life when he is recruited to join the pediatric surgical unit at the prestigious San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital. Alone in the world and unable to personally connect with those around him, Shaun struggles as he deals with the traditional social interaction in the workplace, but is brilliantly intuitive when it comes to medical diagnosis and human physiology. He uses his extraordinary medical skills to save lives and challenge the skepticism of his colleagues.
Episode 1 airs 8:45 pm Tuesday, October 31 on Seven with the series to move to 8:30 Thursdays from November 2 on Seven
