The Embassy November 2

The Embassy November 2

This week The Embassy offers a Live chat after the show.

This week, we join Trudy and her team on the missing person’s case that made headlines around Australia. International Aussie financier Nathan Hansford was last seen leaving his Bangkok several months ago and his family in Australia raised the alarm. They hold grave fears for his safety. One Australian goes missing every week in Thailand – but Nathan Hansford’s case raises more questions than most.

The Embassy is a lifeline for Sydney couple, Aimee and Marty. The couple saved all year for their first ever overseas holiday, but just three days into their holiday, their dream vacation is in ruins. Husband and wife are hijacked during an innocent tuk-tuk ride.

In Phuket, a fairytale wedding turns ugly when Stephen and Mai fall victim to one of Thailand’s most notorious tourist scams. They have come to the island to get married; but when they and their wedding party rent jet-skis, a day of fun on the water turns into a nightmare that could completely destroy their big day.

Diplomat Val finds herself at the centre of a heart-wrenching case when the embassy is called about an elderly Australian who is admitted to hospital after being found in a coma by his housekeeper. 80 year-old Juan Soria retired to Bangkok, believing he could live well on his pension and not be a burden to his family. Without travel or medical insurance, he is now on death’s door.

As much as the embassy is there to help, there are some Aussies who are beyond help. Peter Junas might look like a lovely family man. As Trudy knows only too well, there is a lot more to Peter Junas than meets the eye. He’s come to the embassy for an emergency passport. Trudy and Bee suspect that he may be on the run from police.
