The Biggest Loser Farewells Nat

Another week begins and another Blue team member is sent packing in a heartbreaking elimination.

With a total weight loss of 12.6 kilograms, Natalie Wohlers from Ararat, Victoria, exited The Biggest Loser house. It had already been a tough week for Natalie, who had a breakdown at training this week, after struggling to cope with issues of the past. A cancer survivor and self-confessed “hard-working mum who puts everyone else first”, Natalie was continuing to struggle with the guilt of being separated from her family while she focused on herself.

In the end, mothers Shannon and Natalie put themselves up for elimination. And once again it was up to the Black team to make the agonising decision of who to send home. The choice between one contestant who thinks she wants to go home, but needs to stay, and another contestant who wants to stay but is failing to commit, was unanimous.

For Natalie, being eliminated from the competition means embracing the opportunity The Biggest Loser has given her. She has suffered emotionally and physically in the past but she is now more determined than ever to prove herself back in Ararat. Natalie says: “I’m feeling a bit sad driving away from The Biggest Loser house, but this has been the best experience of my life. As soon as I get home tomorrow I’m going to get stuck in to it straight away.”

The Biggest Loser: Challenge Australia continues Wednesdays and Thursdays on TEN at 7.30pm.
