The Bachelorette begins

Last night Sam Frost began the journey to find her soulmate, but it wasn’t all good news.

Entering the Bachelorette mansion for the first time, this year’s Bachelors were determined make a lasting impression on Sam. Sam shimmered her way around the cocktail party, getting to know all the Bachelors, but it was NSW construction manager Sasha who made the best first impression.

On receiving the first red rose of the night, Sasha said: “It is a huge honour, to get one at the very end there, when I thought that there may not have been a chance to speak to her. It was totally unexpected and very exciting.”

But not all the boys were able to make it past their first impressions and Sam farewelled charity ambassador Shane and marketing manager Luke. Shane said: “Sam seems like a sweetheart, she really deserves happiness and I hope she finds a true gentleman.”

Luke was open and honest about his departure, saying: “I’m a little disappointed. I could kind of see it coming. I didn’t really feel we had any kind of chemistry to start with. You’re not supposed to be compatible with everyone and you’ve got to move forward.”
