Ten to air new MacGyver, Scorpion And Hawaii Five-O

Ten are trying Saturday nights with a blockbuster new line-up of action-packed dramas for the entire family from next month.

The night kicks off with the much welcome return of Scorpion.  It resumes from Season 2 episode 9  which aired last November in the US.

US vs. UN vs. UK

Walter O’Brien and his team of brilliant misfits find themselves in a compromising position when they are blackmailed to break into the United Nations. The Scorpion crew are confronted by an unexpected face from the past while attempting to carry out an assassination. Megan’s condition continues to deteriorate in hospital and Sylvester is forced to make a bold move to protect her wishes.

6:30PM Saturday, October 8 on Ten.

It will be followed by the premiere of the new MacGyver which debuted just last week in the US.

MacGyver was a hero that defined a generation, with the legendary series retaining its own verb decades after its seven year run. Now, one of the world’s most-loved secret agents is back, reinvented and better than ever for nostalgic, action-packed, heartfelt viewing the whole family will love.

Twenty-something Angus “Mac” MacGyver (Lucas Till) is a different kind of hero. He does not use weapons and he is afraid of heights. But under the aegis of Phoenix, MacGyver takes on the responsibility of saving the world, armed with resourcefulness and little more than bubble gum and a paper clip.

From the original series of MacGyver, Golden Globe Award winner Henry Winkler and creator and executive producer Lee Zlotoff return to executive produce this new series, alongside fellow executive producers Peter Lenkov, Michael Clear, Craig S O’Neill and Australian director James Wan.

Concluding the night will be a new season of  Hawaii Five-O  which makes its seventh season debut. Australia’s Alex O’Loughlin returns to lead the all-star cast as Detective Steve McGarrett who works to wipe out crime on Oahu’s sun-drenched beaches.

After almost losing series favourite, detective Steve McGarrett (Alex O’Loughlin) in the gripping season six finale following a botched undercover operation leading to his close brush with death, McGarret and the Hawaii Five-O task force are back for another action-packed season.

On tonight’s season premiere, McGarrett and the team are on the hunt for a vigilante after the bodies of two serial killers are discovered on the Five-O property with chess pieces in their mouths.

With growing fears for tourists’ safety in Hawaii, the Hawaii Five-Unit must track down the vigilante before lives are in threat of serious danger.
