Studio Max to premiere in October

Studio MAX, where you will see Australia and the world’s most loved artists in a series of intimate and exclusive concerts, will premiere on Foxtel’s MAX channel next month.

In the same way MAX channel’s iconic MAX Sessions provided viewers with VIP, front row access to some of the country’s most sought after gigs, Studio Max is an exclusive and never-before-seen personal and acoustic performance of the artists’ biggest hits, filmed live in Studio MAX at Foxtel studios.  Viewers will also get to see their favourite stars as they chat freely about life in general, the music and reflect back to where it all began.

Fraser Stark, Group Channel Manager of Foxtel’s Arts & Music channels said, “MAX is all about Great Music, and in addition to our classic playlists and countdowns, we are lucky to get some of the greatest acts in the business into the MAX Studio to record. In the upcoming exclusive Studio MAX series, fans will witness stripped back acoustic performances of familiar hits and brand new songs, plus the untold stories behind them.”

Screening over four massive weeks during October, the series will kick off Wednesday, October 4 at 9.00pm with Australian music legend Colin Hay, who as lead singer of the much loved band Men at Work, performed and wrote Aussie anthems like ‘Down Under’ and ‘Who can it be now’. 

Singer/songwriter Peter Murray, whose hits include So Beautiful and Better days, will be the second guest artist on Wednesday October 11,

Nineties pop/rock teen band, Hanson. They will perform, amongst others, their number one worldwide hit MMMBop, on Wednesday October 18.  

Killing Heidi, whose chart topping success included songs like ‘Weir’, ‘Mascara’ and ‘Live without it’, will conclude the first series on Wednesday October 25. 

Studio Max beginsWednesday, October 4 at 9.00pm  Encore screenings of every performance will air the following day, Thursday ,at  9.00am and 6.00pm on Max
