So You Think You Can Dance (US) returns

There’s good news for fans  of The US version of So You Think You Can Dance

The series only started in the US last week and begins with a two hour audition episode.

Get out your lycra and do those stretches because So You Think You Can Dance is back. And all these Yanks are busting out their best moves in an attempt to be crowned America’s Favourite Dancer.

The excitement starts tonight as dazzling host Cat Deeley hits the audition trail alongside veteran judges Nigel Lythgoe and Mary Murphy. Their first stop takes them to New Orleans where they are joined by guest judge Wayne Brady. Next it’s over to Chicago with guest judge Jenna Elfman. But if the dancers’ twerkin’ ain’t workin’, their time on the show will stop there.

So what’s different about this season? This year will introduce group battle rounds during the first four weeks of auditions. Each week, two dance crews of four to six people each will face off in a competition decided by fans via Twitter. And who better to present each battle round than the very nimble Justin Bieber?
