To celebrate the triple Logie Award-winning miniseries MOLLY, Channel Seven will present a special encore screening on 7TWO this weekend.
Star Samuel Johnson was awarded the coveted TV Week Gold Logie for Best Personality on Australian Television in addition to the Best Actor Silver Logie for his portrayal of Australian music industry icon, Ian “Molly” Meldrum. As Johnson accepted his Gold Logie, Meldrum joined him on stage presenting the actor with a custom gold Stetson hat.
Johnson took the time to thank his sister Connie Johnson and the supporters of their charity Love Your Sister saying: “This is about Connie for me… and the village who wanted their snotty-nosed brother to give it a crack.”
The miniseries, based on Meldrum’s biography The Never, Um … Ever Ending Story, also won the Logie for Best Drama Program.
The two-part miniseries MOLLY airs in full this Saturday, April 29 at 8.30pm on 7TWO.
