Seven ready to bounce balls as AFL season approaches

With only  a few days till the AFL season opens Channel Seven has locked in it’s coverage for the season.

In 2015 Seven’s AFL is back with all of the fans’ favourite callers Bruce McAvaney, Dennis Cometti, Brian Taylor, Hamish McLachlan and Basil Zempilas.

Tim Watson, Leigh Matthews, Luke Darcy, Wayne Carey, Cameron Ling, and Matthew Richardson all return to the expert comments chair, along with Jude Bolton and Andrew Welsh. Collingwood premiership captain Nick Maxwell also joins the team as a field commentator on Saturday and Sunday afternoons.

Saturday Night pre-game stars Sam Lane and Mick Molloy also return, while 7 News chief football reporter Mark Stevens will bring news to Seven’s AFL coverage throughout each weekend. Sunday Football starts half an hour earlier at 2.30pm each week with an expanded preview and build-up to deliver all of the latest team strategies, news, and colour of the personalities that make up our great game.

In a boon for local football, Seven will broadcast VFL, SANFL and WAFL matches live, free and exclusive. The VFL ‘Match of the Round’ will be broadcast live on Channel 7 in Melbourne every week throughout the regular season, as well as VFL finals and the VFL Grand Final. Channel 7 and 7mate will broadcast the SANFL and WAFL match of the round in SA and WA respectively, along with finals and the Grand Final.Seven’s AFL coverage will again feature:

Thursday Night Football – back with five games produced by Seven.  Talking Footy returns Monday nights with Luke Darcy, Tim Watson and Wayne Carey. AFL Game Day returns 10am Sundays hosted by Hamish McLachlan.  Four games every round; including the marquee Friday night and Saturday night games  2015 AFL Grand Final LIVE and EXCLUSIVE.  Every AFL final and the Brownlow.
