The Logies are going British with the announcement that Sam Smith will preform at this year’s ceremony.
Sam, who only last year released his debut album, In The Lonely Hour to critical acclaim is the first person to be announced as entertainment for the evening.
“I’m so excited to be travelling again, it’s incredible for me to come to Australia,” Sam said . “I went there on holiday. I spent New Year’s Eve there, walked over the Sydney Harbour Bridge, went to some lovely cafes in Sydney, I loved Kings Cross so I’m very excited to be coming back and singing for people there.”.

The ceremony will take place May 3 and be televised on Nine. Nominees will be announced next Monday
