Last night The Bachelorette took a trip to the future with it’s best single date of the season.
Sam and Richie dressed as 80-year-olds for a unique single date. After four hours of special effects hair and make-up, a senior version of Sam and Richie were ready to go on a date to the lawn bowls club for their 50th wedding anniversary.
The pair embraced their older alter-egos and laughed their way through a game of bingo before hitting the dance floor and teaching a few of the bowling club members some new moves. At the end of their date, the pair reverted back to their normal selves to watch a moving video from Richie’s family. After an intimate chat, this special date resulted in a rose and a kiss for Richie.
On this evening’s group date, Sam invited the remaining Bachelors along to the circus fairground where they battled it out in a competition of brawn and ball skills. With Michael and Sasha both surprising early exits, the challenge came down to Dave and Davey in the final test. Thanks to better accuracy, plumber Dave took out the challenge and won much needed alone time with Sam.
Despite his efforts in the fairground challenge, Sam was still unsure on how serious Davey was about finding love, as he continued to clown around with the boys. Eventually, this proved his undoing as Sam decided to let Davey go
On his departure, Davey said: “Sam was worried that I was too much like the guys she had already dated and it didn’t work with them. I wish she saw the gentleman side. I’m proud of where I got, she’s an awesome girl and I respect every decision she’s made.”
