Queensland Fans to Get NRL On Delay

The first match of the NRL season will be shown on delay in Queensland.

The Roosters-Rabbitohs round one clash, possibly featuring Sonny Bill Williams up against Sam Burgess, will be shown live on Channel Nine in Sydney from 8pm, or 7pm Queensland time.

Because of daylight saving and an unwillingness to change regular programming, Nine will start the telecast at 8pm in Queensland, by which time the game will be well into the second half.

The Footy Show (NRL) follows at 9:45pm in both states, but it is only live in NSW.
