Osher Günsberg to Host The Bachelor Australia

Osher Günsberg has been named the host of Network TEN’s upcoming local adaption of The Bachelor.

Günsberg, formerly known as Andrew G when he presented all seven seasons of Australian Idol from 2003-2009, will take the helm of the new series as well as ‘act as confidante’ to Bachelor Tim Robards.

“I couldn’t be more excited to be a part of Australia’s first season of The Bachelor. There’s a reason it’s a massive hit worldwide: people love to watch it and love to talk about it,” Günsberg said on the role

“To come back to Australia and to come back to TEN, it’s a double homecoming.”

Aside from hosting Australian Idol, Osher is the first ever Australian to host a live, prime time network show in the US when he fronted Live To Dance for CBS, the adaption of UK show Got To Dance. Osher was expected to host a local edition here on Foxtel however plans stalled after TEN announced the very-similar Everybody Dance Now.

Osher has also hosted Photo Finish for the ABC.

The Bachelor has just completed its seventeenth season in the U.S. and the local version is to air later in the year on TEN.
