Mel B won’t appear on The Project after all

It seems Mel B has to follow the law after all.

Channel Seven has banned former Spice Girl and X Factor judge Mel B from appearing on Ten’s The Project tonight. Seven ordered Ten to “cease and desist” from allowing the singer to co-host the show. Seven took Brown to court eariler this year after she headed to Nine to do Australia’s Got Talent.

The outcome of that case resulted in the singer being unable to work for any other Australian network till the beginning of 2014 after singing a contract with 7 for her servcises in 2013.

The Project producer   Craig Campbell summed up the situation like this  For us, it’s business,” he said. “We don’t want to upset anyone – it’s not in our world to do that – so when Seven told us about this, we went, ‘You’ve actually got a fair point there.’ It’s all good.

“We’ve got a good show tonight anyway, with supermodel Tyson Beckford.”
