Wallaby legend Matthew Burke has signed with Network Ten as its expert rugby commentator for the 2013
British and Irish Lions Rugby Tour and the Rugby Championship.
TEN is the exclusive free-to-air television broadcaster of all Wallabies Test matches until the end of 2015.
“In what promises to be a huge international year for the Wallabies, I’m really looking forward to being a member of TEN’s rugby commentary team, as we cover all the Wallaby Tests live,” he said.
“The British and Irish Lions tour adds an exciting new dimension to the schedule in what will be another important year for the Wallabies.”
Network TEN Head of Sport, David Barham, added: “We are thrilled to have someone of Matthew’s calibre involved with our live rugby coverage. His appointment further cements our commitment to rugby coverage in Australia.”
Burke will make his debut with coverage of the first Test between the Wallabies and the British and Irish Lions on Saturday, June 22nd.
