Domestic goddess Nigella Lawson returns to the MasterChef Australia kitchen tonight for a truly special week of challenges and surprises.
The much-loved home cook will join judges Matt Preston, Gary Mehigan and George Calombaris to inspire and challenge the current crop of contestants.
To kick off the week, Nigella lifts the lid on tonight’s mystery box to reveal some of her favourite ingredients. The winner of the mystery box challenge will receive the most jaw-dropping surprise from culinary goddess herself.
The week will also see contestants face off in a pressure test to recreate four of Nigella’s most decadent chocolate delights in just 75 minutes.
In what promises to be a battle of the brunches on Wednesday, contestants take over two cafes and are set the challenge of creating a brunch menu to impress real customers, most important being Nigella and the judges.
On Thursday, Nigella wraps up the week with an elimination challenge that will test any taste bud, followed by a MasterClass set at the beautiful Jackalope Hotel amid the vineyards of Australia’s Mornington Peninsula.
