Triple Olympian Libby Trickett has joined the TODAY show as the health and lifestyle reporter.
The swimming star completed her first assignment for TODAY on Monday by interviewing fellow champion athlete Cadel Evans from Adelaide’s Santos Tour Down Under.
“I’m really excited to join the TODAY show team. It’s always been a dream of mine to work in breakfast television and I’m proud to be part of such an amazing production, with a wonderful group of people,” Trickett said. “I’m looking forward to bringing our viewers stories in and around health, well-being and sport throughout the year.”
TODAY show co-host Lisa Wilkinson said: “Libby is one talented woman. I can’t wait for our viewers to see she’s not just an awesome athlete, but a natural broadcaster too.”
Karl Stefanovic added: “Everybody loves Libby. She already feels like family. And we just love having Queenslanders on the show. The more the merrier.”
The Today Show airs 5:30 AM Weekdays on Nine.
