Sad news to kick off the new year with the passing of James Avery
Avery who was 68 passed away as a result of complications from open heart surgery on Tuesday night (US Time). His most well known role was as Uncle Phillip Banks on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air the show that introduced the world to Hollywood Star Will Smith.
James Avery’s other TV roles include voicing the arch-enemy of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Shredder, A reoccurring role on The Closer and Grey’s Anatomy
