Network Ten’s Director of News, Sydney, John Choueifate says that

“Sandra and Hugh are two of the most respected television journalists, editors and presenters in Australia. Together, they have more than 50 years’ experience in breaking, reporting and presenting stories. No other network can match that. “TEN Eyewitness News dominates its timeslot in Sydney and every other capital city. In Sydney, the combination of Sandra and Hugh – plus Sport Presenter Matt Burke and Weather Presenter Tim Bailey – will ensure that dominance increases,” he said.

It was also announced that Hugh Rimminton will  present the national TEN Eyewitness News Late bulletin.

Network Ten’s Director of News, Sydney, John Choueifate, said the recent announcements demonstrated the network’s increased commitment to News. “We are delighted that Hugh has agreed to present TEN Eyewitness News Late nationally. As the only late-night news bulletin on commercial television, TEN Eyewitness News Late offers viewers comprehensive coverage of all the local and overseas news of the day and evening,” he said. “Hugh will join TEN Eyewitness News Late when it returns on February 24, right after the XXII Winter Olympic Games in Sochi, Russia. “The line-up of Stephen Quartermain, Hugh and Mike is great news for our viewers in Melbourne,” Mr Choueifate said.
