Grace and Frankie Season 5 Mini Review
Grace And Frankie

Next week Grace and Frankie returns with a brand new season, and it’s totally worth your time.

When we left them in season 4, Grace (Jane Fonda) and Frankie (Lilly Tomlin) have just broken out of their nursing home, which their kids tricked them into, and have returned to their beach house, that has now been sold. Their exes, Robert (Martin Sheen) and Sol (Sam Waterston), meanwhile were left in an interesting predicament when they were propositions by Sol’s cruise friend Roy (Mark Devlin).

As season 5 opens, our loveable duo must find a way to get their house back from a mystery, whom the formidable Benjamin Le Day (RuPaul Charles) is involved with. Robert and Sol also have to find a way to decline Roy’s offer, but will they be able to?

Once those issues are resolved one way or another, Brianna (June Diane Raphael) has to find a way to save Say Grace from going under, Rober and Sol have to deal with a houseguest who just won’t leave, and Grace and Frank have to find a way to get their independence back.

Now in its 5th season, Grace and Frankie has found its groove at dealing with issues faces by our aging population in a fun and humorous way. And in the wise hands of Marta Kauffman (Friends) and her writing team, the 13 episodes served up here will delight fans as they get answers to the cliffhangers and head on new adventures.

Just like a fine wine, Grace and Frankie keep getting better with age.

4/5 Stars
